About Us

Audrey Gaines Cancer Foundation was established to provide financial assistance to single mothers with cancer. The financial costs associated with cancer are often overwhelming and can be physically and emotionally exhausting. The organization is committed to providing assistance, to moms, where the need is greatest. The grant can be used for housing expenses (rent or mortgage), utility bills, car payments, groceries, or to whatever the mom deems necessary. The goal is to let the moms focus on their health, children and treatment while, financial needs are being met.  This grant is given in honor of a mother, a single mom, who had a strong desire to give and was passionate about helping others.

After the first year of Audrey's passing, her three daughters hosted a prayer breakfast and raised money to give to a single mother with cancer in the Maryland community. The event was very successful which inspired them to create The Audrey Gaines Cancer Foundation, in honor of their mother. Every year, thereafter, the daughters plan an event to provide financial assistance to a single mother to ease their financial burdens.
